Participants should become familiar with early behavioral signs of autism, neurological conditions, and recognition and diagnosis of these conditions; be able to identify patients likely to have a genetic diagnosis and know what type of testing, interpret results of genetic testing, and use a genetic diagnosis in patient management; and learn about clinical treatment trials to target co-morbid conditions and core autism symptoms.
