Cognitive Neurology/Neurologic Disorders Presenting with Psychiatric Symptoms
Upon completion:
Participants should be able to discuss localization of musical functions in the brain with regard to normal individuals and patients with superior musical capabilities; clinicians will be able to perform bedside testing of patients' musical abilities and classify various clinical disorders related to music, including the amusias and musicogenic epilepsy; and discuss the effects of musical training on the brain as a model of brain plasticity.
