Participants should learn which patients are at highest risk for nonconvulsive seizures and therefore warrant continuous EEG monitoring; how to interpret and manage equivocal EEG findings such as periodic discharges and the ictal-interictal continuum; how to rapidly diagnose and treat status epilepticus of all types; and how to avoid pitfalls and complications related to diagnosis and treatment of seizures and status epilepticus in the critically ill.
