Participants should be able to list the neurological conditions that affected a series of famous musicians and composers in history; use the case studies of famous musicians and composers in the teaching of neurological diagnosis and management to students and residents of neurology; understand the potential interaction between neurological illness and a musicians' or composers' ability to create their art; and appreciate the potential for aspects of composition and performance to be affected by neurological disorders.
