General Neurology/Neurology of Systemic Disease
Upon completion:
Participants should be able to diagnose and treat the common neurological infectious diseases; treat patients with Parkinson's disease utilizing both medical and surgical treatments; recognize and treat the common seizure disorders; offer patients with cancer of the nervous system the best evidence based treatment options; identify patients with various dementias and apply current evidence to choosing the appropriate treatments; utilize the current medical and surgical approaches to the various movement disorders other than Parkinson's disease; manage patients with disorders of behavior other than dementia; and diagnose and manage the common neurological problems seen in patients with general medical illnesses.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed Update in Neurology II and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
