Learning Objectives Participants should have a greater awareness of the importance of considering sleep and sleep disorders when assessing patients with neurologic disorders, including abnormal nocturnal behaviors, stroke, and autoimmune diseases. Participants should be able to better counsel patients regarding sleep, including optimal sleep duration and use of hypnotics, and be able to improve management of patients with sleep disorders such as restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea in the setting of stroke, and injurious parasomnias.
