Participants should understand when amyloid PET imaging is appropriate and inappropriate, be able to identify when amyloid PET results are reliable and when they may be misleading, be able to incorporate amyloid PET scan results to increase diagnostic confidence and accuracy of cognitive evaluations, and consider ethical issues when talking to patients about amyloid PET imaging.
