Upon completion:
Participants should be familiar with the latest concepts in pain modulation and the evidence linking chronic analgesic use with hyperalgesia and persistent pain, and become familiar with the most recent evidence supporting the use of specific drugs in neuropathic pain.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed Pain Management: Principles and Practice and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
