Cognitive Neurology/Neurologic Disorders Presenting with Psychiatric Symptoms
Upon completion:
Participants should be able to understand the prevalence and importance of psychogenic symptoms; review diagnostic methods for psychogenic symptoms commonly seen in and outside of neurology; review the various psychiatric diagnoses underlying psychogenic symptoms; understand how to differentiate intentional faking from unconscious production of symptoms; review methods used in the neuropsychological assessment of effort; and understand the basic principles of treatment for psychogenic symptoms.
