Participants should be able to understand how to identify and diagnose sleep disordered breathing in neurology practice; appreciate the spectrum of sleep-related breathing disorders and their variable association with prevalent neurological disorders including epilepsy, stroke, headache, and neuromuscular disease; determine optimal therapies for sleep disordered breathing and the role of hypoglossal and phrenic nerve stimulation for obstructive and central sleep apnea; and discuss the benefits of sleep disordered breathing treatments on neurological outcomes.
