Participants should be able to discuss the neuroprotective effect of targeted temperature management after cardiac arrest and prognosticate effectively in these patients; use the most up-to-date treatment algorithms for status epilepticus and describe approaches to treatment of non-convulsive status epilepticus; and diagnose both the most common causes of neuromuscular respiratory failure, as well as rare but treatable diseases such as acid maltase deficiency.
