Participants will understand the scope of the opioid epidemic and our current understanding of risk factors for opioid overdose and opioid use disorder; gain insight into the neurobiology of pain and opioid exposure; and understand current clinical guidelines for chronic opioid analgesic therapy initiation, maintenance, monitoring, and tapering.
