David A. Evans, MBA
David A. Evans, MBA, serves as the chief executive officer of Texas Neurology, a comprehensive outpatient neurology center in Dallas, TX. After attending the University of Nevada at Las Vegas for his undergraduate education, he attended the University of Texas at Dallas for his MBA studies.
Throughout his career, Evans has been a passionate advocate for private practice neurologists and has made significant contributions to the field of neurology. Evans brings a wealth of knowledge to the business of neurology and has dedicated his time volunteering at the AAN to enhance the field and foster meaningful progress for solo and private practice neurologists.
He currently serves as chair of the AAN’s Brain Health Committee, where he is dedicated to enhancing brain health at every stage of life, from a person’s earliest years of development to their oldest years by advancing research, education, public policy, scientific discovery, and collaborative partnerships. He also serves on the AAN’s Industry Relations Subcommittee.
Previously, Evans served as chair of the AAN’s Health Policy Subcommittee, where he worked to address the health policy needs of neurologists and their patients at the national level. He was also chair of the Advocacy Committee, Practice Management and Technology Subcommittee, and the BRAINS Section, focusing on equipping neurologists with resources to navigate practice management challenges and adopt innovations that improve efficiency and identify opportunities for business growth. He also served on the AAN’s Medical Economics & Management Committee and BrainPAC Executive Committee, and as chair of the Neurology Compensation and Productivity Survey Work Group.
In 2022, Evans was recognized with the AAN President’s Award, underscoring his significant contributions to neurology. This award reflects his dedication to advancing the specialty, advocating for neurologists, and fostering policies that benefit both health care providers and patients.
