Elaine C. Jones, MD, FAAN, has been practicing teleneurology with Access Telecare (formerly Specialists On Call) since 2014. Prior to that she was in solo, private practice in Bristol, RI, for 10 years.
Early in her career, Jones participated in the AAN Palatucci Advocacy Leadership Forum, where she became involved in both federal and state legislation and policy. She chaired the AAN's Government Relations Committee and the Payment Policy Subcommittee, and served on the BrainPAC Executive Committee, Payment Advisory Task Force, Burnout Task Force, and the Gender Disparities Task Force. She previously served as a director for the AAN Board and is currently nominated for Board Secretary.鈥疭he also currently serves on the Editorial Board for Continuum®, as a member of the Telehealth Subcommittee of the AAN, and as a member of the Sections and Subspecialties Subcommittee.
Jones is National Medical Director of Neurology Clinical Quality for Access Telecare, developing and overseeing teleneurology quality metrics for advanced practice providers and neurologists.
Jones is a diplomate in the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a neurology certification.鈥疭he is a Fellow of the 好色先生. Honors and awards include the 2016 AAN Palatucci Advocacy Leadership Forum Award for advocacy work done in the US and in Haiti, the 2023 AAN Presidential Awardee, and the 2019 Rhode Island Medical Society’s Charles L. Hill Award for exceptional leadership and advocacy in the state.
