Sleep: Participants should be able to streamline the diagnostic process for restless legs syndrome (RLS), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and insomnia by using the most current diagnostic criteria and efficient screening tools, and integrate recent guideline updates to reduce diagnostic complexity and enhance accuracy in clinical practice; be able to identify and critically evaluate at least two emerging treatment options for RLS, OSA, and Insomnia, and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate updated therapies and reorganized treatment pathways; and learn to dispel common myths and misconceptions surrounding these disorders, improving patient education and adherence to care plans.
Brain Death: Participants will review the 2023 AAN/AAP/CNS/SCCM guidelines for determination of brain death/death by neurologic criteria and examine legal controversies related to determination of brain death/death by neurological criteria in the context of current statutes on determination of death.
