Participants should become familiar with the use of and limitations to PCR and antibody testing when planning treatment for neurotropic viral infections; review recent data on the efficacy of immunomodulatory therapies for CNS viral infections; review strengths and limitations of CNS tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic testing; understand global treatment updates for CNS TB; and discuss challenges in distinguishing and treating neurocysticercosis and CNS immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome.
