Participants should become familiar with the global burden of major non-communicable neurological diseases, including epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and other movement disorders and dementias. Participants will describe the epidemiology across the globe and the disproportionate burden in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and become familiar with the challenges that exist in diagnosing, managing, and treating neurological disease in LMICs, particularly how resource limitations impact disease.
