Learning Objectives Participants should gain insights into the practice of neurological intensive care medicine including fundamental skills of diagnosis, management, and prognostication of acute, and life threatening neurological injuries; acquire knowledge about the approach to ICU management of patients with acute brain injuries such as elevation of intracranial pressure and herniation, diagnosis and ICU management of neuromuscular disorders and spinal cord injury, assessments and predictions, and ethical implications of caring for comatose patients.
