Learning Objectives Join Dr. Mei Rui, an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, and the founder and Director of Music-in-Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center as she presents a live performance of iconic works by Ludwig van Beethoven and others alongside state-of-the-art Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) mapping and EEG brain dynamics data visualization illuminating the powerful impact of an immersive live performances on both a performing artist’s and an audience members' brains in real-time. As part of this special concert-experiment, Dr. Rui will be joined by Grammy-nominated pianist Dr. David Kaplan—Assistant Professor and Inaugural Shapiro Family Chair in Piano Department at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
