Leadership
Managing other staff, faculty, and professionals is not a skill that is taught in medical curriculum. However, it is a key skill set that is needed as faculty rise up the academic or hospital hierarchy. This course will cover key topics and strategies for managing others and provide resources for these issues, and be led by a neurologist who runs two divisions, uses modified business management principles to lead her teams, and has navigated a variety of HR issues with direct reports in the workplace.
