Medical students who share why rewarding to them on social media will be entered to win a reflex hammer. Winners will be notified in December. View the official rules.

We celebrate this date each year in honor of Wilhelm Heinrich Erb, MD (born on November 30, 1840), who is credited for popularizing the reflex hammer used in today's neurological exam.

The AAN's Neuroscience Is...™ Rewarding program is responsible for brainstorming, proposing, and implementing tactics and programs which offer college and medical school students, and residents the opportunity to engage in meaningful neuroscience education and research.

It also works to support efforts of the Undergraduate and Graduate 好色先生 Subcommittees to improve medical students' access to neurology clerkships, strengthen the pipeline of residents choosing neurology, and neuroscience research, as their career.
