2025 AAN membership rates
Neurologist, Physician Affiliate, Researcher, Advanced Practice Provider, and Business Administrator memberships run on a calendar year (January 1 through December 31), regardless of join date.

Neurologist membership is for physicians who are fully trained in clinical neurology.
Physician Affiliate

Physician Affiliate membership is for non-neurologist physicians practicing in clinical or non-clinical fields related to neurology.
Researcher - $315.00
Researcher membership is for non-physicians engaged in research relating to neurology. Any physician must apply as a Neurologist or Physician Affiliate member.
Advanced Practice Provider: Options beginning at $140.00
Advanced Practice Provider membership is for licensed practitioners who spend the majority of their time with patients. Applicants must be engaged in clinical practice relating to neurology. Non-neurologist physicians must apply as a Physician Affiliate member.
Business Administrator: $140.00
Business Administrator membership is for professionals engaged in managing academic or private neurological practices. Applicants must demonstrate that they are engaged in the management of a neurological practice.
Reduced rates for early-career physicians (applicable to existing members only) and lower middle- and low-income countries are available as applicable. These rates will be shown upon checkout.

Student, Intern, and Junior membership runs on an academic year (July 1 through June 30). We are currently accepting new member applications for the 2024-2025 academic cycle.
Student - No cost
Student membership is for full-time students enrolled in an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy, or graduate students enrolled in a doctoral program or graduate program.
Intern - No cost
For physicians who have graduated from an accredited or recognized medical school or a school of osteopathy and who are engaged in their first year (or second year for Child neurology) of postgraduate studies directed toward completing a neurology training program.
Junior - $195 $97.50

Junior membership is for physicians or post-doctoral fellows who have graduated from an accredited or recognized medical school or a school of osteopathy and who are engaged in post-graduate studies directed toward completing a neurology training program, or Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), who are completing post-doctoral research training.
*This discounted rate is for a prorated membership that runs now through June 30, 2025.
