Withdrawal requests are permitted until March 28, 2025. However, not all withdrawals will be reflected in print or online publications, depending on when the withdrawal request is made.
Withdrawal requests should be submitted to science@aan.com and include the abstract title, ID number, and the presenter’s name. Authors should also provide reasoning for the withdrawal. Authors not notifying AAN staff of withdrawal, notifying AAN staff after March 28, 2025, or not providing a sufficient reason for withdrawal will be subject to sanctioning.
Key deadlines:
The Late-breaking Science program (formerly Emerging Science) highlights the most current research being done in the field of neurology. Abstracts qualify for Late-breaking Science presentations by having key aspects of research conducted after the October abstract submission deadline. These abstracts must present new, timely, and significant scientific findings, with innovative content warranting expedited presentation and publication. Case reports are not acceptable submissions and will not be considered.
Late-breaking Science submissions must not have been presented or published elsewhere prior to the 2025 Annual Meeting.
Notification emails were sent from science@aan.com to the submitter and the first author on the abstract submission on February 24. Contact Katie Anderson if you have not received your notification email.
The embargoes for late-breaking science abstracts correspond with their presentation times at the AAN Annual Meeting. Late-breaking science abstracts will be posted online when their embargoes lift. Please review the AAN embargo policies for more information.
Email Katie Anderson with any Late-breaking Science abstract questions.
The bustling 2024 Annual Meeting poster hall included 2,100+ abstracts presented throughout the week.
Poster hall attendees have the opportunity to engage with and ask questions of the abstract poster authors.
