A: The 2025 Annual Meeting in San Diego takes a digital-first approach to all promotional communications, reducing the use of single-use materials—like signs—on-site and using compostable or environmentally friendly inks wherever possible for those single-use materials that remain. The AAN also looks for opportunities to repurpose materials from past meetings to reduce materials entering landfills. The San Diego Convention Center has sustainable programs in energy reduction, waste reduction and diversion, greener transportation, and community-building (including donating leftover conference materials and food to local organizations). .

A: Hotel rates are in US dollars. Taxes will be added to your room rate, and include a 10.5% hotel occupancy tax, 0.195% California Tourism Assessment, and 2% San Diego Tourism Assessment. The AAN receives a room assessment of $8 per night (included in the room rate) to offset the expense of the meeting.

A: All of the hotels in the AAN official housing block are available for trainees to reserve. However, we have set aside a limited number of rooms at two of our more affordable hotels specifically for students and trainees.
