Most attendees wear business or business casual attire. Average April temperatures in San Diego are a high of 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) and a low of 55 degrees F (13 degrees C). A light jacket is recommended for the San Diego Convention Center as well as for the Annual Meeting Party on Sunday evening, as most of the event will take place outdoors. A coat and luggage check will be available at the San Diego Convention Center Saturday through Wednesday.
We highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes throughout the meeting as the San Diego Convention Center is large. If you track your steps, the Annual Meeting will make it easy to hit your step goal, so be sure to charge your tracker!
Pack your AAN green to wear on Advocacy Day on Sunday, April 6!
Bring a reusable water bottle. As part of the AAN's sustainability efforts, water fill stations will be provided around the convention center as an alternative to single-use plastic water bottles.
After arriving at the (111 Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101), head to Registration in D Lobby to pick up your badge. You may check in using the barcode in your confirmation email or by providing your name. Registration is open:

Head over to 5th Avenue and L Street to enter San Diego’s vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, where the streets will come alive with music, dancing, and engaging activities. The AAN's mascot, Sarah Bellum™, is rumored to have a ticket to the event. Explore a diverse array of businesses while savoring a feast of visual and culinary delights.
Food options provided by Gaslamp restaurants will range from Italian to Mexican and from traditional bar and diner fare to Southern comfort food. Grab your beer, wine, or soda to enjoy a 15-minute escape room experience, giant-sized yard games, game tables, live music from The Trip, Instagram-worthy seating areas, and even a larger-than-life Lite-Brite.
One complimentary entry is included with registration and your attendee badge is your ticket in. Guest tickets can be purchased for $125 before 6:00 p.m. on April 6 by visiting the registration desk in D Lobby or emailing Registration Support. Tickets are available for on-site purchase at the event for $150 each. Guests must be 21 years old or older.
Free transportation to and from the event will be provided for shuttle-designated hotels within the AAN housing block with the final shuttle departing no later than 10:30 p.m.
Breakfast: Served daily, Saturday, April 5, through Wednesday, April 9, from 6:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m. in the Sails Pavilion.
Lunch: Served daily, Saturday, April 5, through Wednesday, April 9, from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in Exhibit Hall A (Poster Hall).

Lactation room: The lactation room is room 23A and will be available with a changing station, private nursing/pumping areas, and a refrigerator. There is also a mother’s lounge in a separate area inside the women's restrooms outside of Hall E on the lower level.
Prayer room: The designated prayer room is room 27A.
Childcare: The AAN has partnered with to offer attendee-paid on-site childcare in the San Diego Convention Center during the core hours of the Annual Meeting. Learn more.
Dietary requests: The daily attendee lunch always includes one option that is vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free, and one vegetarian option. Kosher and halal meals must be special-ordered. The deadline to order these meals has passed. Contact Nafisa Ghazi with questions.
Seating: There is reserved seating in front of Ballroom 20 for the plenary session. For other programs, if you need assistance finding a seat near the front of the room, please ask a course monitor. Monitors will be stationed near the door of the room and have a white ribbon indicating that they are the monitor.
Streaming and recordings: Livestreaming and program recordings will be available in the online platform and the mobile app. Recordings will be available within 48 hours of the end of the program. Closed captioning is provided through Wordly but is not offered in the room.
Hotels: All hotels in the AAN room block are accessible. If you booked within the block, there was an option to indicate if you needed an accessible room, roll-in shower, etc. on the form. If you are unsure of your booking, please contact registration.
Annual Meeting Party: The Annual Meeting Party on Sunday, April 6 will be held at San Diego’s vibrant Gaslamp Quarter.
Navigation: Please download the AAN Conferences mobile app for the best navigation experience. The font size in the room locator is small, but accessing the mobile app will allow you to zoom in and adjust the text size for better readability.
